We specialize in party prep and clean up! If you’re having a party and need help getting everything together, you can count on us. Residential FAQ's

Q: Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Student Maid is licensed, insured, and can provide proof of worker's compensation if necessary.

Q: Are your employees background checked?

Yes. Student Maid uses Intelli Investigations, located in Gainesville, to background check each employee.

Q: Do you bring all of the necessary supplies?

Yes. When it comes to cleaning, we bring everything needed to do the job. However, we can use your products and vacuum if you prefer.

Q: Do you send the same students every time?

We always try to send the same students each and every time. However, in the event of a scheduling conflict we will make sure that at least one of the students is familiar with your home. You can always request a certain crew as well.

Q: Is it customary to tip?

Some of our clients tip, and some do not. That is a personal choice and we leave that up to you!

Q: What areas do you service?

We currently service the greater Gainesville area. We can also service Alachua, Newberry, High Springs, Micanopy, Archer, and Fort White. We have a $10 gas charge, but for those outside of Gainesville, this amount can range from $15-$30. Please contact us for more information.

Q: Do you offer green cleaning?

Yes! If you'd prefer green products, we can use them for an additional charge of $10. Our bathroom cleaner does have bleach, but the other products we typically use do not have strong odors. However, If you'd prefer to go green just let us know!

Q: How do I pay?

You can either leave cash or a check made out to Student Maid. If you are not home at the time of payment, we can invoice you. . We also accept debit and credit cards!

Q: What happens if I am not happy with the cleaning job?

If something was not done on the checklist, or if it was done poorly, we are more than happy to send the crew back to fix their mistakes free of charge. We aim for 100% customer satisfaction-- all day, every day.

Q: How do I get started?

Visit the estimate page on our site or contact us at contact@studentmaid.com. Someone from Student Maid will contact you within 12 hours. For urgent requests, call 352 672 0038. If it is for cleaning, we will provide you with a copy of the checklist and you are free to customize it for your home. We are available to meet you beforehand or immediately schedule a cleaning. As far as the other services, we are more than happy to come to your home and meet you first.

Q: What should I do before the cleaning team arrives?

Before the crew arrives, we ask that you pick up any personal items so that more energy can be spent cleaning.

Q: Do I have to be home during my cleaning?

You can choose to be home to let them in and then come back towards the end, stay during the entire cleaning, or leave a key and not come home at all. It’s totally up to you and what you are comfortable with!

Q: Since you are students, are you still here for holidays and summer?

Yes. We work year round and are open on most holidays. We do not close for UF holidays, summer break, winter break, or spring break.
